Explanation
The tiles produced for the Turkish Bath of The Galata Istanbul Hotel – Mgallery in Beyoglu, Istanbul consist of three miniature art panels of 90x120 cm, 120x170 cm and 175x175 cm. In addition to the bath, Iznik tiles are displayed at the court of the hotel and over the door that leads from the Turkish bath to the street. Iznik tile panels feature an abundance of details, bright colors and busy patterns, and represent a new style in defiance of the classic tile patterns usually used in Turkish bath decorations.
