The Meziad family was founded in Bulgaria in 1972 by Dr. Samir MEZIAD started its activities by selling wholesale shoes and slippers in a modest shop. Since 2015, the first steps of the retail store chain have been taken in different cities of Bulgaria with the MAT STAR brand. Currently, it provides service in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Syria and Iraq with 38 retail stores, 29 of which are in Bulgaria. While continuing its commercial activities in Turkey in 2013, it became a shareholder of 50% of the TIGERLINE company.
