Timex Garments (Pvt) Ltd.

In 1967 there was a small tailoring shop down Wolfendhal Street in Pettah. It had ten pedal operated machines and they used to stitch shirts. Abdul Sattar had big dreams for his tailoring shop and in 1972 managed to send the very first shipment of shirts to Sweden. Soon, known for his quality and attention to detail, orders started rolling in. He was able to expand his workshop, even buy over Timex Garments, a fellow competitor at the time and export ready made garments to foreign countries. The rest is history.
